Five Astros homered in Game 5 to bring the Astros back from the dead after trailing 4-0 and 7-4 with Clayton Kershaw on the mound. Except perhaps for the fact that this was only the fifth game, it equaled the drama of the 1960 World Series Game 7 that ended on Bill Mazeroski's walk-off home run in the bottom of the 9th. Only two days until Spring Training!

The Story Behind Astros' First Base Coach Rich Dauer's Amazing Recovery
During the Houston Astros parade celebrating their first World Series title, something was terribly wrong with their first base coach Rich Dauer. No one knew it at the time, but he was suffering from an acute subdural hematoma, caused by a blow to the head when he had fallen the night before.
Dauer didn't realize he was injured and did not tell anyone about his fall. So when he started to exhibit symptoms, everyone assumed it was the result of exhaustion and dehydration. Instead, Dauer barely escaped death.

The Astros postseason offense demonstrated that by slashing .240/.314/.431 compared to .282/.346/.478 in the regular season. So when all was said and done, despite its inconsistency, it may have been the Astros pitching that carried them to their first World Series title.
